Kaasthamandap Vidhyalaya, having completed its tenth year of establishment,is offering the Cambridge International Advanced Level (A-Level) at our high school-equivalent to +2 as per our governments policy. It is an international benchmark qualification providing excellent preparation for university education.
A-Level is offered in over 125 countries and has a wide choice of subjects in science, management and liberal arts. It is widely recognized and valued by universities around the world.
It has been found that schools and learners find the Cambridge International A-Level course very flexible as students can choose subjects they want to learn and build a career on. The syllabuses are revised periodically and have been created specifically for international students. A-Level is taught throughout the world, and as the national examinations of certain Commonwealth countries (such as Singapore and Mauritius), within international schools and in bilingual government schools alongside the national examinations.
Currently, there are a number of schools and colleges offering the Cambridge International A-Level in Nepal. It has a long history, which earlier used to be referred as 'Senior Cambridge'. Having studied Senior Cambridge at St. Mary's School, I, along with our founding directors, value the knowledge and skills it offers. It helps us develop a sound understanding of the subject matter, encourages us to think and reason critically, and develop learning skills - all contributing to enable us to do well in our chosen careers.
We are looking forward to adding another milestone to building a learning culture at our school with a profile of graduates that will continue to succeed in the future.
